About Linda Johnson
I've been a journalist since graduating from the University of Colorado with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1984. My career has taken me over much of the United States, from Colorado and Texas to Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. I seem to have settled in Kentucky, something I wouldn't have bet on 10 years ago. In all this time, I've worked for newspapers, magazines and lately a newspaper and a website. I've worked as a beat reporter, an editor, on the production side and now as computer-assisted reporting coordinator and member of the online team at the Herald-Leader. Personally, I have a fabulous husband (journalist turned full-time Dad) and a wonderful 5-year-old daughter whom we adopted from Guatemala when she was 6 months old. And our family wouldn't be complete without the 80-pound neurotic dog who thinks she's a 10-pound puppy.
