About Logan Molen

MOLEN, LOGAN is the vice president of Interactive Media at The Bakersfield Californian, a 65,000-circulation daily in Central California, 90 minutes north of Los Angeles. His responsibilities include overseeing bakersfield.com, several niche websites and the company's mobile content. He also shares in the development of The Californian's award-winning social networking platform, which is the foundation of a growing local publishing network. Before taking over bakersfield.com in 2006, Molen was managing editor of The Californian's 80-person newsroom for three years. He has worked at The Californian for 20 years in a wide variety of print and online positions. He grew up in Fresno and graduated with a journalism degree from California State University, Fresno. Outside of the office, his passions are music, reading, travel, good beer, playing hockey and trying to understand the intersection of sociology and technology.
