About Maria Martin
MARIA MARTIN has over 20 years of broadcast experience as a news reporter, radio producer and program manager. She is currently the executive producer of Latino USA, a weekly journal of Latino news and culture, based at the Center for Mexican American Studies and KUT radio at the University of Texas at Austin and distributed by National Public Radio. In 2000, she received the Gabriel Award and the RFK Journalism Award in the International Radio category. Martin has a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in journalism from Ohio State University.
