About Joel Mathis
JOEL MATHIS is a city hall reporter for The Lawrence Journal-World where he writes enterprise and meeting stories and is a frequent contributor to online and television programs produced by the Journal-World's parent company. The Journal-World shares news operations with their World Company cable television colleagues, 6News, and the Web site team in a truly converged newsroom environment. Prior to joining the Journal-World, Joel worked as a city editor and education reporter at The Emporia Gazette, and as a cops/courts reporter at the Parsons Sun. He earned a Bachelor's in communications with an emphasis in journalism from Tabor College.
