About Mike De Sisti
Mike De Sisti is the multimedia picture editor at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, a 200,000-circulation newspaper that covers the greater Milwaukee area and the state of Wisconsin. His responsibilities include multimedia production, photographer and reporter video/audio training, and working on the picture desk. De Sisti is a native of the northwest suburb of Chicago, Crystal Lake, IL. He graduated from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale with a fine art photography degree. After graduating in 1996, he freelanced for The Elgin Courier daily newspaper in the Chicago area. De Sisti accepted an internship at the the Post-Crescent in Appleton, WI, in 1997 where he was eventually hired as a a full-time photojournalist. He's been at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel since April of 2008. He enjoys traveling, trying to paint and running. He recently completed his third marathon in October.
