FRIESEN, MARK is a web designer and developer at The Oregonian in Portland, Ore. He spends a lot of his time developing and designing data-driven projects. He grew up in Salem, Ore., graduated from the University of Missouri in 1987 and worked as a print designer at the Corvallis (Ore.) Gazette Times, The Ledger (Lakeland, Fla.) and The Oregonian. He joined the online team in 2007. He enjoys cycling, watching baseball and chasing after the kids (12 and 4).

This site allows you to find your state and U.S. representatives by entering your address and tracks all of their votes in the state legislature or congress. The site also tracks every bill through the Oregon Legislature, providing the status of the bill, vote results and links to the text of the bill and audio files of relevant committee meetings.
