About Michael Gormley
GORMLEY, MIKE is an associate professor of journalism at Central State University, a small, historically black university in Wilberforce, OH. Gormley teaches a reporting class, a broadcast writing class, freshman seminar, and senior capstone. He oversees the program's internship program and advises students working on The Gold Torch newspaper. Before becoming a teacher, Gormley worked as a television reporter in Anchorage, Honolulu, West Virginia, Orlando, and Charlotte. In his spare time, Gormley enjoys reading, traveling, swimming, walking his two dogs, rooting for the Buckeyes, visiting his extended family, and working on his house and yard.
