About Michelle Holmes

HOLMES, MICHELLE is the editor-in-chief of the SouthtownStar, a daily newspaper covering the south side of Chicago and 30 of its southern suburbs, and is part of the editorial leadership of Sun-Times Media. She came to the paper from the (Gary, IN) Post-Tribune where she was managing editor. She is a member of the board of the Illinois Associated Press Editors Association and in 2009 participated in Poynter's Leadership Academy. She lives near the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore where she sails and plays along the shore.
