About Niala Boodhoo

Niala Boodhoo is a multimedia business reporter for The Miami Herald. In addition to helping the business department coordinate and produce audio, video and other online journalism, she is the host and producer of The Miami Herald Friday Business Report, a weekly radio report that airs on 91.3 WLRN, the local NPR affiliate.

She has previously worked for the Associated Press in Miami and for Reuters in London and Washington, DC. Her undergraduate degree is in philosophy and psychology from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She also has masters' degrees in journalism from Northwestern University and Latin American/Caribbean Studies from Florida International University in Miami.
