About Nichole Christian
CHRISTIAN, NICHOLE is an editorial writer at The Detroit Free Press. She writes mostly about education policy and children's issues. She is a native Detroiter and a graduate of Wayne State University's Journalism Institute for Minorities. She's a former reporter for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Time magazine and the St. Petersburg Times. At The New York Times, she helped to cover the September 11th World Trade Center attacks, and her work appears in “Portraits: 9/11/01: The Collected ‘Portraits of Grief’ from The New York Times.” When she has time, she enjoys photography, movies, martial arts, reading and making popcorn the old fashioned way.
