LOREN OMOTO is online editor/multimedia editor for startribune.com in Minneapolis, MN. His responsibilities include writing, editing and repurposing text and images, developing multimedia content for the Web, such as video, audio and interactive media experiences. In addition, he is a regular contributor to Tech@Work supplement in the Star Tribune newspaper. Before joining startribune.com, he was executive director of the Native American Journalists Association in Minneapolis and spent 13 years at Minnesota Public Radio. Omoto is a member of the Native American Journalists Association and was president of the Asian American Journalists Association, Minnesota in 2000-2001. Omoto has a Bachelor's degree in humanities from Michigan State University.
