Multimedia and Technology Training At the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism
CHRISTINE PAIK is an online editor and producer for National Public Radio where she is responsible for the front of npr.org and the front page of the news section from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Christine draws on a diverse background and has experience as a print reporter, radio producer, and online editor. Prior to joining the online team, she was an editorial and production assistant at NPR and worked on The Tavis Smiley Show, Talk of the Nation, and Weekend Edition Sunday. From 1998 to 2000, she was a political reporter at The Times Herald in Port Huron, MI and before that a metro reporter at the Akron Beacon Journal in Ohio. She earned a B.A. in History and a B.A. in Asian Studies at the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Journalism at Stanford University. In 1999, she won the Michigan Press Association Award, and two Gannett Well Done Awards. She has been a member of the Asian American Journalists Association, Investigative Reporters and Editors, and the Korean Students Association. She is fluent in Korean and has traveled extensively throughout East and Southeast Asia.
