Multimedia and Technology Training At the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism
PARTNOW, JESSICA is lead audio producer, webmaster, and co-founder of www.commonlanguageproject.net, a nonprofit online magazine dedicated to developing and implementing innovative approaches to international journalism by focusing on positive, inclusive and humane reporting of stories ignored by the mainstream media. She just returned from seven months reporting abroad with the CLP in Thailand, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Israel and Palestine. Her audio short, Education for Change, recently aired on Chicago Public Radio, and the CLP team are proud recipients of a Notable Entry in the 2006 Knight-Batten Awards for Innovations in Journalism. Partnow's work for the CLP includes audio production, reporting and writing feature articles, managing the organization's development, leading workshops, fundraising, webmastering, copy editing, and French and Spanish language needs. She received her Bachelor’s degree with honors in Sociology and a minor in Romance Languages from Hunter College in January 2006.
