About Patrick Thornton

THORNTON, PATRICK is a Web Producer at the Stars and Stripes, a 90,000-circulation newspaper that covers the department of defense domestically and abroad. His responsibilities include posting stories, photos and breaking news to the Web site, designing and implementing special features and helping to redesign www.stripes.com. He also does freelance writing, editing and Web design work through his Web site
www.patthorntonfiles.com. Thornton is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated with a degree in journalism and political science from Lehigh University in 2006. His first journalism job was as a sports writer for The Chagrin Valley Times in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. At the start of 2007, he began working for the Stars and Stripes and is concentrating on ways to improve the paper's Web product. He enjoys reading and watching the news, photography, listening to music, playing video games, watching movies and wasting time on the Internet.
