About Paul Overberg

OVERBERG, PAUL is a database editor at USA TODAY. He does much of its demographic data analysis but he also analyzes everything from campaign contributions to stream flows to military casualties. With other members of USA TODAY's “CAR” team, he also helps editors, reporters and visual journalists with training, data analysis and custom applications. He had earlier been a science and environmental reporter and editor at Gannett News Service in Washington. He started his professional career at The Courier-News in Bridgewater, NJ, where he held a variety of editing and reporting posts, including business editor.
