Multimedia and Technology Training At the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism
Pamela Reynolds graduated with a master's degree from the UC Berkeley
Graduate School of Journalism in 2003. Her work in journalism has
focused on multimedia reporting, science and the environment. She has
been a freelance reporter for the Berkeley Daily Planet, Sacramento Bee,
and other publications, reporting and writing news articles on a variety
of topics. In 2002 she was a science writing intern at Lawrence Berkeley
National Laboratory, where she wrote and researched articles for
laboratory publications, and daily news items for the Today at Berkeley
Lab website.
Before embarking upon a career in journalism, Pamela was a research
assistant in Environmental Energy Technologies at Lawrence Berkeley
National Laboratory, and a freelance writer who wrote and edited
marketing materials for technology companies. From 1995 to 1999 she
worked for the Santa Cruz Public Libraries, where she answered reference
questions, managed a branch library for young adults and administered
the library’s first two computer homework centers. She received a BA in
women's studies and sociology from UC Santa Barbara in 1993, and an AA
in physics from Cabrillo College in 2001.
