About Patricia Sullivan

I'm a reporter at the Washington Post, where I've worked since 2001. I previously was online executive editor at The Industry Standard in San Francisco, online editor at the San Jose Mercury News' website and a freelancer for Lycos' short-lived web directory.

I was in the 1992-1993 class of John S. Knight Journalism Fellows at Stanford University.

I've also been a reporter at the Missoulian in Missoula, Montana, the Sun-Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the Herald-News in Joliet, Ill. and interned at The Milwaukee Journal. My professional journalism employment began when the Milwaukee Sentinel hired me as a copykid (I made them change the title from "copyboy.")
