About Stan Donaldson
DONALDSON, STAN is a general assignment reporter at The Plain Dealer, a 250,000-circulation newspaper that covers Northeast Ohio. His responsibilities include covering breaking news stories, working on enterprise projects and producing videos for the web. He spent a year working on a recent project that examined the lives of 11 women who were found dead inside of the home of an alleged serial killer in Cleveland. Donaldson is a native of Youngstown, OH, and graduated with a degree in journalism from Norfolk State University in Virginia. His first newspaper job was at the Detroit Free Press where he worked as a suburban reporter and later as a reporter for the publication’s web team. He is a Chips Quinn Scholar and former Knight Ridder Rotating Internship participant. He works as a volunteer for several youth programs. In his leisure time, he enjoys attending live music shows and sporting events.

- Jimmy Dimora trial update [edit]
Working for The Plain Dealer and the publication's web site, cleveland.com, covering the Jimmy Dimora federal racketeering trial in Akron, Ohio. This is the ninth week of the trial. I have posted hourly blog updates as the trial has progressed. On certain days of the week, I give video updates online. Dimora is accused of running a criminal enterprise while serving as a commissioner and chairman of the county Democratic Party. He faces more than 30 counts, including racketeering, under an indictment originally filed in September 2010. - Students honor Chardon victims with song [edit]
Here is a link to a story the Chardon High School shootings in Chardon, Ohio. Three students were killed and three were injured on Feb. 27, 2012. The alleged shooter, T.J. Lane, 17, is being held in juvenile detention pending a pretrial hearing later this month.
