About Seth Familian

FAMILIAN, SETH has continually immersed himself in the worlds of content, trends, and technology since completing his undergraduate work at Harvard in 2001. He has extensive experience analyzing the future of media fragmentation, the future of retail, and the digital home. He has developed online business model strategies for Apple, Inc., digital textbook marketing strategies for Zinio Systems, and business plans for numerous products and services which thrive at the intersection of print and digital platforms. While pursuing his MBA at the Walter A. Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, Seth began advising managing editors and senior leaders of numerous newspapers on the future of digital media and its implications for the print business model. His audiences have included editors of the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Sacramento Bee, San Diego Union-Tribune, and members of the American Society of Newspaper Editors and Associated Press Managing Editors. Seth received his MBA from Haas in 2007 and is now working for Bertelsmann Media Worldwide, advising the world's 5th largest media company on internet trends and strategy as he helps establish the company's offices and presence in the Bay Area.
