About Scott Ferrell

FERRELL, SCOTT is the staff photographer at Congressional Quarterly Inc., which is primarily a subscription-based publisher whose clients include 95 percent of the members of Congress, top academic and media outlets, and leaders in business, nonprofit organizations, government affairs and the executive branch. Ferrell is part of the largest news team covering Congress on weekly, daily and real-time news cycles. CQ publications include the CQ Weekly newsmagazine; CQ Today, the legislative news-daily; and two Web sites, cq.com, for subscribers, and cqpolitics.com, a free site. CQ also publishes a number of specialty e-newsletters. Ferrell has been with CQ for 13 years, covering President Bill Clinton’s impeachment, September 11, the balancing and unbalancing of the federal budget, and a host of other history-making news. Ferrell is a native of Virginia, where he worked as a staffer and freelancer for several newspapers before coming to CQ. He is a journalism graduate of Washington & Lee University. From his home in the country, 65 miles west of DC, he commutes daily, year round, on a motorcycle.
