About Shawn Mcintosh
McINTOSH, SHAWN is director of culture and change for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and ajc.com. That means she's responsible for helping keep the newsroom's radical reorganization on track, helping create a nimble and innovative culture and providing tools, training and change leadership to move the newsroom to a brighter future. McIntosh is a Tar Heel and graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina. She has spent a career in investigative and enterprise journalism, leading projects at USA TODAY, the Dallas Morning News and Atlanta. She served on the board of Investigative Reporters and Editors for more than a decade and was president for two years. Prior to moving to Atlanta, five years ago, McIntosh was the top editor of The Clarion-Ledger, Mississippi's largest newspaper. She enjoys silversmithing, but these days the price of precious metals is rising as fast as newsprint.
