About Stephen Nowers

NOWERS, STEPHEN is a staff photographer with the Anchorage Daily News, a 70,000-circulation newspaper in Alaska. For the past year his primary responsibility has been developing multimedia content for adn.com, the Daily News’ web site. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated with degrees in history and english from the University of Washington. He’s been at the Daily News since 1996. In addition to his newspaper work, he teaches publication design at the University of Alaska Anchorage and is a lieutenant with the Central Mat-Su Fire Department in Wasilla.
