About Terry Bertling

is the features/niche products editor at the San Antonio Express-News, a 255,000-circulation Hearst newspaper that serves south Texas. She oversees S.A. Life, Travel, Taste, Weekender and online features content for www.MySanAntonio.com. She is also editor of the monthly upscale Trends magazine and oversees several niche products and special sections. Bertling joined the Express-News in 1994, after serving as managing editor of the El Paso Herald-Post and editor of The Huntsville Item. She received her master’s degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2009 and holds a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Bertling has been an adjunct lecturer at Texas State University in San Marcos since 2007, teaching a variety of journalism courses. She contributes to www.MySanAntonio.com’s Trends blog. She enjoys traveling, photography, producing short Flip videos and hiking.
