About Valerie Streit

STREIT, VALERIE is a producer at CNN.com, a leading news and information site. Her responsibilities include programming content for CNN.com's live, multi-stream video and on demand services. Streit also produces original content for the site including multimedia story mosaics and video podcasts. She launched This Week in iReport, a video series showcasing the most dynamic user-generated content. Streit, a native of San Francisco, graduated with a master's degree in Media Ecology from New York University. She earned a bachelor's degree in both Communication and Theatre from the University of California, San Diego. Her first job was in San Diego, where she worked as a line producer at KUSI-TV for two years before accepting an opportunity to produce the Morning News and Mornings on Two for KTVU-TV in San Francisco. Streit enjoys screenwriting, blogging, social networking, multimedia art, psychogeography, intimate concerts, and traveling off the grid.
