About Victor Hernandez
HERNANDEZ, VICTOR currently oversees the CNN All Platform Journalism initiative. In the 18 months since the APJ project launched, Victor has identified, hired and implemented forward-thinking digital storytellers across various U.S. cities. In addition to leading the APJ program, Victor has spent the past few years leading others as an organization champion in the areas of New Media, Social Networking and Emerging Technologies. Prior to accepting a news management position with CNN/U.S. at their global headquarters in Atlanta in 2003, Victor worked at NBC television stations in Fresno and San Diego, California. Victor is actively involved with Journalism curricula at the Poynter Institute of Media Studies, as well as a member of NAHJ, NABJ, AAJA and SPJ. Victor is originally from California’s bountiful Central Valley, where he attended California State University, Fresno.
