About Patricio Zamorano

PATRICIO ZAMORANO is online editor for La Opinión Digital (www.laopinion.com), the Web site for La Opinión newspaper in Los Angeles, the oldest and largest Spanish daily in the US. Patricio has also served as a copyeditor and as the Assistant Editor for the Latin American section at La Opinión. He is also a freelance translator for the Museum of Latin American Art. Patricio began his journalism career in his native Chile, and worked from 1999 to 2000 as an assistant editor and layout specialist at MTG Newspaper in Santiago. In early 1999, he was as a reporter for Channel 2 television in Chile, and from 1996 to 1998, he worked as a reporter and section coordinator for La Epoca Newspaper in Chile. Patricio received a B.A. in Social Communication and Journalism at the University of Santiago. He received a full President of the Republic Scholarship and graduated with honors. He speaks fluent Spanish.
