The University of California at Berkeley houses the largest collection of fossils at any university in the world.

Movies like Jurassic Park show scientists making exciting discoveries in the field. But in real science, the most exciting discoveries are usually made in laboratories and museums, where scientists like Mark Goodwin study small pieces of evidence for years.

Most of the collection at UC Berkeley is not open to the public, but it's important to scientists.
