Digging for answers

The tuco-tuco is a furry little burrowing rodent that spends most of its life underground in a southwestern Argentina river valley. But it isn’t just the tuco-tuco’s pretty face that has drawn UC-Berkeley scientists to study these animals for nearly 15 years.

They think the tuco-tuco might help them answer important questions about why some animals live in groups rather than by themselves.
