Contra Costa County Superiour Court has an Open Access website at which you can search the index to civil cases by name of plaintiff or defendant and then see a list of the documents filed in each case.

But the court documents themselves are not yet available online - you still have to write down the case number and go to a courthouse to view the documents.

At that page pick one of the superior court branches and then click on the log on button.

At the next screen you can choose to search by the name of a plaintiff or defendant, a case number or the court calendars.
