Children’s Fairyland gives little ones an opportunity to have a play date with classic children’s literature. Since 1950 the 40 storybook sets have brought the most beloved stories to life. Children can tunnel down the rabbit hole from Alice in Wonderland that descends into the ground and winds around the park; visit rabbits and guinea pigs in Peter Rabbit’s garden and climb into the crow’s nest of Captain Hook’s pirate ship from Peter Pan. In addition to the storybook sets are rides, puppet shows, live entertainers, gardens and more. Walt Disney visited Children’s Fairyland soon after it opened and used it as inspiration to create his magic kingdom that opened in Anaheim in1955.
