Alena Feeney is a social media instructor at Berkeley AMI and with the Bellingham Technical College. Plus, an Information, Communication and STEM Specialist at the University of Hawaii Manoa. She has designed integrated marketing campaigns for State agencies, corporate, nonprofit, and philanthropic organizations. Working with a spectrum of clients including; The Gap, Berkeley Advanced Media Institute, Banana Republic, UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Spark Museum, Whatcom Community Foundation, University of Hawaii/STEM Pre-Academy, and many small businesses to expand reach and market share. Alena is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication and Information Sciences (CIS) at UH Manoa; examining how social media platforms, persuasion, and artificial intelligence influence discourse within online communities.
